Welcome to lynnville heart of worship

Lynnville Heart of Worship is a place where people can meet Jesus and engage in life-giving community. Visiting a new church for the first time can be overwhelming, especially if you don't know anyone or have an idea of what to expect. We hope this glimpse into life at HOW can help answer any questions and make you feel welcome before you ever walk in our door.

Our Church Building

One of the first things you may be wondering is where to go once you pull into the drive at Heart of Worship. For Sunday morning service or Wednesday Night Live, head to the sanctuary in the lower level. The best door to enter through on a first visit is the lower West door. We have a paved area with handicapped parking spaces available by that entrance if needed.

i'm here, now what?

Upon entering the building, two friendly church members will be ready and waiting. They will welcome you, provide a bulletin, and show you were to go. Feel free to hang coats on the rack in the foyer if desired. Both men's and women's restrooms are available in the foyer as well. Our sanctuary, restrooms, and fellowship hall are all handicapped accessible in this lower level. Choose whatever seat you'd like and expect many people to introduce themselves. We love visitors here at Heart of Worship and are excited to welcome everyone into our family for a short time or a lifetime.

let's get ready to worship!

Service starts at 9 AM. A countdown video will begin to play on the big screens around five minutes before service is set to start so everyone can find a seat and prepare for Worship. Our worship band will begin to play and invite everyone to join in. The song lyrics will be displayed on the big screens. We have a variety of traditional and contemporary music. Some choose to sit or stand, sing or just enjoy the music. There is no one way or wrong way to worship.

the message

A typical service lasts around 90 minutes. If we have a special guest speaker or missionary visiting, the service length may change. Pastor Tom will open with prayer and dismiss the kids to head upstairs to children's church. Then he will bless us with a message he has prepared for the week. Scripture text will be shown on the big screens. At the end of service, the worship band will return to the stage and we will close in prayer. The altar is always open for anyone wishing to pray there. Church deacons are available if you'd like someone to pray with you.

Fellowship time

One of the best things about Sunday mornings at Heart of Worship is our fellowship time after service. Head to the fellowship room to grab a cup of coffee or juice, pick out some yummy snacks, and enjoy getting to know each other. Unless otherwise announced, this relaxed time of laughter and conversation typically lasts around 15 to 20 minutes.

Powerhouse  kids

Kindergarten through fifth grade students are invited to head upstairs for Powerhouse kids. A special lesson has been prepared just for them! The kid's rooms are located in the upper level of the church building.

nursery

Our nursery is staffed and waiting to shower your little one with love and attention. The nursery is located in the upper level of the church.

adult sunday school

Adult Sunday school begins around 10:45am in the fellowship room. During this time, children are encouraged to join Kid's Camp time upstairs.

communion

Individually packaged wafers and juice will be passed out by our ushers. All who have received Christ as their Savior are invited to
share in Holy Communion.

offering

At HOW, we don't pass the basket for offerings, with the exception of a special collection for missionaries or other event.  Giving can be done online through our website or app. In person giving can be dropped in the offering boxes located in the sanctuary.
